Serves:- 4-5
INGREDIENTS:-
- Cabbge - 1/2 shredded
- Green Peas - 1 cup
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
- Hing/ Asafoetida - a pinch
- Garlic - 5 - 6 cloves
- Onion - 1 sliced
- Tomato - 1 and a 1/2 chopped
- Garam Masala powder - 1 tbsp
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp (add or reduce according to your need)
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 th tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves - 1/2 cup
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Heat oil in a kadai or deep pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing and allow it to crackle.
- After that add garlic and cook till its colour changes.
- Now add sliced onions and cook till it turns light brown and becomes soft.
- Add Turmeric powder, garam masala, Coriander powder, mix everything properly and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, mix it well and cover and cook till tomatoes become soft.
- Add the sliced cabbage, mix it well add salt and cover and cook till cabbage becomes soft.
- The quantity of the cabbage initially may seem a lot, but it shrinks as you cook it.
- Now add the peas, then cover and cook it for 5 mins and then switch of the flame.
- Serve hot with chapatis or phulkas.
